Who is Bobby?

My love for Clayton and my desire to make Clayton an even better place to live and work is reflected by my eighteen years of public safety service to Clayton citizens.

For my entire life, I have been a part of this beautiful, vibrant community of Clayton. I grew up along Blanchard Street and as a child roamed and played along the peaceful serene streets that make up our town. I have seen us change and grow with the times.

I have been married to my wife Sharon for 27 years and we are active members in the community. I have been a member of the First Baptist Church of Clayton since the age of 14.

After graduation from Clayton High School, I enjoyed a career in broadcasting as an air personality with the Clayton Broadcasting Company (WHPY) and Durham Life Broadcasting (WQDR).

In 1988 I began my facility management career as a Maintenance Supervisor with Calibre National Management in Raleigh, NC. From 1992 to 2002 I was the Director of Facility Services with Ericsson, Inc in Research Triangle Park, a large international telecommunications company.  I was the Area Manager with McCullers Maintenance in Durham from 2004 until it was acquired by Executive Management Services in 2014. I joined the EMS team as the Operations Manager for the new North Carolina Division for the national commercial cleaning and facility services company. I am currently employed as the Operations and Facilities Director with the Christ Episcopal Church in Raleigh.

I believe in the community spirit and small town atmosphere that are a part of my past and what builds our future. I want to serve that future through attention to the needs of our citizens and business leaders as a member of the Clayton town council.

I’m Bobby Bunn and I am asking for your vote on November 7th.
